Foundation Honors Paula Baber Hospice Home Donors
The donor recognition wall at the Paula J. Baber Hospice Home has now been installed.
The wall is in the lobby area and recognizes contributions of $5,000 or greater that were given to build the home.
"This is so important, because without the generosity of these individuals this home would not have been possible," says Shannon McQuillen, executive director of Trinity Health Foundation.
The donor wall also recognizes the generosity of Dr. William E. Baber, who named the hospice home in memory and honor of his wife, Paula, who died of cancer in 1999. After Paula's death, William began to look for ways to honor Paula and at the same time do something for the Fort Dodge community.
"The hospice home seemed fitting. Hospice made such a difference for us," William says. "It is something I thought about for a long time, and my heart was in it. I hope I sparked an example for others."
Trinity Health Foundation, with the assistance of Dr. Mark and Rae Anne Marner and Jane Gibb as co-chairs, led the fundraising efforts. They were assisted by Kraig Barber, Tom Chalstrom, Dr. Dan Cole, Tim Doyle, Phil Gunderson, Connie Lind-Fraher, Terry Moehnke, Anita Patterson and Nadine Schlienz.
We sincerely appreciate each and every contributor to Trinity Health Foundation. Your generous support has made and will continue to make a difference for health care in our community.
